September 12, 1938 – July 28, 2018
Naomi, AKA "Ms. Piddle", "Paddle", & "Nay", fell asleep forever on July 28, 2018. She lived her life in the Akron and Tallmadge areas. Preceded in death by her parents Edward E & Lois V Taylor and sister Betty J Falkner of Florida. Naomi was a terrific mother, best friend, homemaker, cook, baker, and garden enthusiast. Whatever the case she got it done. One thing for sure, she never ignored her family! Always making sure we had good health, clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet, food in our bellies and a warm clean home to go to sleep. All these attributes poured over in to her job at Sumner Home, now the Merriman. She gave her all at this wonderful place she lastly called "Home", She made many friends here and has lasting memories of them all.
She leaves to survive her daughter Debrah Lees, sons Edward (Linda) Lees, Scott (Sue Lishing); grandchildren Selina, Elijah Dadbeh, Shannon, and Ryan Lees, Taylor (Ryan) Graves, Scott Lees, Jr.; great-grandchildren Colt, Savanna Sebastian, and Jaxon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Naomi’s memory through the Alzhiemer’s Association at www.alz.org or Haven of Rest Ministries at www.haveofrest.org Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 2nd from 4 – 6 PM with the Funeral Service immediately following at 6:00 PM in the Rose Hill Funeral Home at 3653 W Market Akron, OH 44333.
