Pamela was born November 16, 1944 in Akron, Ohio to the late Sidney and Hattie Mae (Willett) Berry.
Pamela graduated from the University of Akron in 1974 where she attained her college degree alongside her sister Nancy. She was a beloved teacher for Akron Public Schools for over 30 years. She had a passion for teaching and enjoyed helping her students reach their full potential.
Pamela was a devout Christian. She found such joy and peace spending time daily with the Lord. She also enjoyed sharing her faith with her family, often sending videos of songs and scripture to her loved ones. She lived with such grace, you could see the love of God shining in her eyes. She was a member of The Chapel where she served in the nursery for many years. She loved singing and praising the Lord.
Pamela was most proud of her family. She was overjoyed when she became a grandmother. She was and will always be their beloved Yaya. She enjoyed her many excursions with her sisters and was grateful to have one last time at the Porthouse Theater. They also loved sharing books and puzzles. She loved whenever the family gathered together- sharing meals, laughter, playing games, making strawberry jam and singing Christmas carols. Her presence will be profoundly missed. She cherished her time spent with Bobby reading books and watching sports. She was always so grateful for the loving care he gave her.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband Robert, of 45 years, her children Gregg (Janyse) Heidy, Lori (Tom) Weckerly, her beloved grandchildren Sara (Adam), Jared, Samantha (Jonathan), and Jonathon (Tabatha); and her great grandchildren, Addison, Bellami, and Madeline. Pamela also leaves her sisters, Donna (Chuck) Oplinger and Nancy (Buff) Sasinowski; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. D. Plate and Dr.L. Matt-Amarai and staff at Cleveland-Clinic Akron General for their exceptional care of our Pammy.
