I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Kitzerow's passing. There are only a few teachers/principals that I can still recall, but Mr. Kitz was one of them. He left an impact on me that has continued throughout my life. He certainly made the right decision when he became an educator. I wish there were more like him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Kitz was my idol, coach and teacher. His leadership style should be emulated by all who wish to lead people. Gentle, but firm, he knew how to get the best out of average football players and students, such as I. Kitz, along with Jack and Cy brought a football program from below average to prominence in Cuyahoga County. What a guy! God Bless You, Kitz. Pete, BHS 52.

I knew Kitz through many facets of my life. I knew him when I was a student as well as when I started teaching at BMS. Kitz had a unique way of handling all of the young teachers at BMS, guiding us while tolerating our crazy antics. He let us know he was watching but with a sense of humor. He gave graciously of his time to the Bay school system and will be sorely missed at his regular post at the registration desk/ Tri-Bay golf outing. My class (1962)knew him from 7th grade to graduation. I am thankful that I was able to benefit from his friendship and guidance through the years. He never missed a class reunion nor the retirement of a teacher that worked with him. God bless you Kitz ... we'll miss you!

Kitz was an influential and important part of my life from my days as a student at Bay High, as my lineman coach and teacher. He was principal at my first teaching position at Bay MS and did an outstanding job! He was a friend to my family and to me, attending many events throughout the years. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
