Bob joins his wife Kandi (Leslie) Waters, who preceded him in death on March 28, 2025.
Bob, born on November 18, 1946, was the son of Carl (Dutch) Waters died 1976 and Lehla (Cox) Waters died 2009.
Survived by his sons: Philip Waters (Joyce), Iowa; and John Waters (Amy), Brunswick, Ohio. Grandchildren Vincent (Paula) Waters, Austin Waters (Lorelei Herrod), and Amber Waters all in Iowa. He also leaves behind sisters: Judy (Bob) Sams, Nan (Dave) Wilson, and Patti Zaubi who all live in the Akron area.
Starting at an early age, Bob had dreams of a baseball career following his father's footsteps, but he excelled in all sports, playing football and basketball besides baseball in high school and college. As an adult, he enjoyed fishing and golf.
Bob graduated from Garfield High School class 1964. He attended Akron University with a degree in Industrial Management, and also where he met the love of his life Kandi. They were married on October 1968 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Akron. His job took them to multiple locations creating lifelong friendships in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. Upon retirement, they resettled home to Akron, Ohio.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on August 3, 2026 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W Market St, Akron, OH, 44333 followed by the burial and a luncheon.
Bob will join Kandi in their final resting place at Rose Hill Burial Park.
