Susan was born February 21, 1957 in Akron to the late Ralph and Ruth (Murray) McDonnell. Susan was a lifelong Akron resident. Susan was one of the first Nurse Anesthetist's in the area that attained her Master's degree. She was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
Besides her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her sister Mary Joan McDonnell, and Anne Elizabeth.
Susan is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Donahue, their sons, Ryan and Brendan, her step-sons, Kevin (Lexie) and Chris Donahue; two grandchildren, Regan and Kiera Donahue and sisters Theresa and Linda McDonnell, and brother Ralph McDonnell She also leaves a her caregiver, Christine and several friends.
Susan was past president of Bath Volunteers for Service, active at St. Hilary School for many years, anesthesia provider at Akron City Hospital for 18 years, and loving mother and wife.
Calling hours for Susan will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
