

Born in Stow, Ohio on July 12, 1936 to Marvin M. and Virginia D. (Phennicie) Maxwell, she was one of seven children.
Virginia is survived by her brothers, Douglas (Sandy) Maxwell and Michael (Connie) Maxwell; her sisters, Dolly (George) Miller, Donna Raines, and Melva (Bill) Stone; her daughter Annetta M. Bennage, her sons, Harmon "Jeff" (Susan) Harrison, Calvin O. Harrison, and John M. (Uzoamaka) Harrison; her grandchildren, David J. (Christina) Harrison, Heather M. (Matt) Shorter, Robert W. (Alicia) Bennage, II, Yvonne M. Bennage, and Rachael L. (Jason) Rexroat; her great grandchildren, Renae M Bennage, Robert W. Bennage, III, Keiani M. Jones, Annetta L. Bennage, Lucas A. Harrison, and William J. Harrison.
Virginia Dare was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She never failed to tell you how much she loved you and she loved her hugs and kisses.
Virginia was also very talented with her knitting, crochet, painting, drawing, doing crafts. She was a real people person and loved making friends. She also loved her Cleveland Indians Baseball (Guardians) and always enjoyed watching the games. Virginia always loved and believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and enjoyed listening to church music. Virginia was very special and there will never be anyone else like her. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
The family would like to thank the staff of Copley Health Center and Gentiva Hospice for the love and care they gave to Virginia and her family.
Funeral services will begin at 2PM, Friday, August 30th at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St. in Akron, Entombment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
