Carolyn Inez Mckenzie

Carolyn was born July 20, 1940 in Crossville, IL to Virginia and Hubert Dobbins. She married Jack McKenzie on September 27, 1958 in Carmi, IL and he preceded her in death in January 2000.

She worked several years as a CNA at Meadowood Nursing Home. Carolyn was also a member of the Women of the Moose in Grayville.

Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister; Janet York.

She is survived by five daughters: Tammy (Rick) Powell, Cisne, IL, Rita (Darrell) Peck, West Virginia, Lisa (Russell) Wilson, Grayville, IL, Jackie (R. Dale) Compton, Albion, IL and Jonie (Kenny) Raigner, Carmi, IL and one son: Ernie McKenzie, Grayville, IL She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Carolyn Inez McKenzie will be held at 4PM, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Oakgrove Cemetery, Grayville, IL. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
