Charlie was born September 28, 1930 in Olney, IL to Annetta Ellen (Biggers) and Emil A. Bunting.
He married Hester Fawkes on June 7, 1950 at the Christian Church in Marion, IL.
Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1949 and served for 3 years and 3 months. When he returned home, he operated Emil Bunting and Sons until 1979, when the name was changed to Bunting Appliance and T.V., and was continuously operated until his retirement in 2003.
He was a lifetime member of the Albion First Christian Church. He was a Cub Scout Master for several years. He and Hester thoroughly enjoyed riding their motorcycle, and visited most of the Continental States, on their cycle.
Charlie also enjoyed four-wheeler riding and took his final ride in January of this year.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Annetta Doty, one brother, Lawrence Bunting and one grandson, Tim.
He is survived by his daughter Ann (and husband Russell )Bailey of Albion, IL., and five sons: Fred ( and wife Carol ) Bunting of Williamsburg, VA, Rex (and wife Glenna )Bunting of Browns, IL, Troy Bunting of Bone Gap, IL, Donnie Bunting and Mark Bunting of Albion, IL.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Charles “Charlie” Bunting will be held at 10:00AM, on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Ingram Funeral Home, Albion, IL. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemeter y with full military rites.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Ingram Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Wabash Christian Retirement Center or to the donor’s choice.
