She was preceded in death by her parents George and Nellie Stone, daughter Cynthia Briggs Goldman, son Lee Robert Briggs, and grandson Jamison Johnson.
Dora is survived by her siblings Ralph (Yvonne) Stone and Lulu (Eugene) Stone Kelsey; sons Virgil (Kim) Briggs, Jahue (Brenda) Briggs; daughter Jessie (Ray) Briggs Johnson; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Dora asked not to be mourned with tears, but remembered with cheer and a beer.
Besides being a full time mother, she was a farmer, worked at PN Hirch, The Farmer’s Store, Burger Bar, La Mancha, Old Smoke House, a rest home, and was your favorite bartender.
Anyone who knew Dora knew she loved yard sales and auctions. Her advice to everyone is to go buy that family heirloom you wish you had gotten. Just keep nodding at the auctioneer, buy it, enjoy it, and now it’s part of your family history.
Dora’s sense of humor helped her during her illness. Her humor and love will be missed by all. We all love you and miss you already.
