Doris L. Powell

Doris was born on January 11, 1930 in Aurora, IL. to Rose and Ben Gillespie.

She married Phillip Powell on May 6, 1948 in Effingham, IL. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2007.

Doris was a woman who enjoyed life and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Phyllis Powell who passed on May 24, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter Sherryl and husband Gale Balding of Fairfield, IL, grandson Larry and wife Laura Balding of West Salem, IL and great granddaughter, Briley Balding of West Salem.

Private graveside services will be held.

Memorials may be made to the Skilled Care Unit Comfort Room of the Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Ingram Funeral Home of Albion is entrusted with the arrangements.
