Frank Alan Tribe

Frank Alan Tribe, 86, of rural Albion, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab in Mt. Carmel, IL.
Alan was born November 20, 1931 in Albion, the son of Frank Tribe and Helen (Michels) Tribe. He married Esther June Koontz on August 15, 1954, and she preceded him in death.
Alan spent most of his life as a hard working farmer, though when his country called, he served a term in the Army and spent time in Korea. He also worked as a mechanic for Loren Troyer at his Ford tractor dealership in West Salem, and later as a mechanic/set up man and truck driver for McLean Implement in Albion. Alan was a very active member of West Village Christian Church, serving over the years as a teacher, song leader, Deacon, and Elder.
Survivors include two sons: Bill A. Tribe and wife Charlotte of Albion, and Tom Walter Tribe and wife Donna of Clay City, IN; one daughter, Barbara Beasley and husband Philip of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren: Richard Alan Tribe of Tilton, IL, Nikki Tribe of Linton, IN, and Marci Keller of Princeton, IN; one brother, George Tribe and wife Shirley of Albion; and two brothers-in-law: John Koontz of Flora, IL and Raymond Koontz. Alan is also survived by a cousin, Marjorie Tribe of Albion; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann, stillborn on May 25, 1930, his mother and father, his wife, three sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. The funeral service will be Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Village Cemetery with full military rites.
Memorials may be made to the West Village Cemetery, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
