Joshua "Josh" Malcolm Kollak

Joshua Malcolm Kollak, 42, passed away on December 22, 2017, at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Il. Joshua was born on March 23, 1975 in Mt. Carmel, IL and was the son of Gene (Rebecca) of Fairfield, IL and Karen (David) Rittelmeyer of Auburn, GA. Following high school, Joshua joined the Illinois Army National Guard. Upon completion of his military service, he worked a variety of jobs including Airtex Products, Radio Tower construction, carpentry work and Super 8 Motels. He is survived by 4 daughters, Alyssa and Kinsey Kollak of Fairfield, IL, Zoey and Karlee Kollak of Olney, IL; his parents, Gene (Rebecca) Kollak of Fairfield, IL, and Karen (David) Rittelmeyer of Auburn, GA; brothers, Storm Kollak and Sky Kollak of Fairfield, IL, Christopher Rittelmeyer and Jonathon Rittelmeyer of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Andrea Rittelmeyer, and niece Kaelyn Rittelmeyer of Auburn, GA. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earnest and Irene Kollak of Albion, IL and Malcolm and Mary Dagley of Mt. Carmel, IL. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 9 am – 11 am at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 11 am. Cremation will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to an educational fund for Zoey and Karlee, which Gene will be organizing, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Ingram Funeral Home of Albion is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
