Margaret Nevius

Margaret, known as “Aunt Margie”, was born on February 2, 1919 in Albion to Vaughn and Myrtle (Curtis) Nevius.

Margaret worked for a time at a bakery in Mattoon, and enjoyed baking and cooking. She also enjoyed singing the old hymns of the church. Her demeanor was consistently pleasant, and it has been said by many who knew her, that she “always had a smile and a song”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Yokel; one brother, Allen Nevius; and a special nephew, Steve Conover.

She is survived by one sister, Mildred Conover of Arcola and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Margaret Nevius will take place on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Officiating will be a nephew, Pastor Kent Conover. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral, from 1PM to 2PM. Burial will follow the service, at Graceland Cemetery, Albion.
