Merrill L. Stewart

at Oakview Heights in Mt. Carmel.

Merrill was born December 15, 1930 in Wabash County. His parents were Dewey Levi and Mabel (Miller) Stewart. He married Alfreda Kreiness while stationed in Germany in 1952 and she preceded him in death on February 21, 1996. He then married Helga Kramer in Port Richey, Florida in 1997 and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2007.

He worked at Snap-On Tools as a press operator for 23 years. He was affiliated with the Lancaster Church of Christ. He was also a veteran serving in 1949 before the Korean War.

He is survived by a brother; Ivan Ray Stewart of Mt. Carmel, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and both wives; Alfreda and Helga, 4 sisters; Mary Ann Fields, Lois Easter, Jean Wilkinson and Ruth Cockrill.
