

She was born July 12, 1933 in Bone Gap, IL to Ula (Murphy) and Herbert Deisher. She married Melvin Byford on December 31, 1950 in Bone Gap, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1974.
Olive was a factory worker at Champion Labs, and loved to quilt. She was a member of the English Prairie Quilt Guild and the Albion United Methodist Church. She was also active in the Methodist Women’s Group.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Burke) Fisher of West Salem, IL; one son, Michael (Margie Hutchison) Byford of Vincennes, IN; one sister, Mary Kennedy of Spring Hill, FL; two brothers: Bob (Janice) Deisher of Mt. Carmel, IL and Jerry Deisher of Largo, FL; four grandchildren: Frank, Brad, Nicholas, and Rachel; four great-grandchildren: Laryn, Jace, Henry, and Timothy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Olive was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; two sisters: Dorothy and Maxine; and three brothers: Charles, Raymond, and Harold.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bone Gap Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Senior Citizens Center, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
