Timothy Joe Rice

Tim was born April 11, 1952 in Olney, IL. His parents were James and Rozella (Leonard) Rice. He married Julie Cowling May 17, 1973 in Albion, IL.

Tim was a set up technician for Champion Laboratories where he was employed for 38 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed family life and was Grandpa to the neighborhood children. He owned and operated Tim’s Taxidermy for many years and provided services for many people across the United States. He was of the Christian faith all of his life and was a member of Olive Congregational Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Julie of Albion, 2 daughters; April (Donnie) Goldman, Robin Burton both of Albion, IL, 1 son; Philip (Lisa) Rice of Evansville, IN, 2 brothers; Jimmie Lee (Marvadene) Rice of Albion, Donnie Rice, 6 grandchildren; Ryan, Josh and Tanner Goldman, Trent and Rachel Burton, Cohen Cowling and 1 great-grandson; Kasen Goldman. He is also survived by honorary grandchildren: Kassie and Zef Archer and Robert, Jaccob and Ivory Wayland, all of Albion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister; Billie Sue Poynter.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, March18, 2015 at 10:30AM at Graceland cemetery in Albion. Family and Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 5:00-7:00-PM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL.
