

Andrew Joseph Masternak “Andy” age 88 of Albion passed away peacefully at his home under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Hospice on Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was born July 27, 1930 in Clarence Township the son of Michael and Anna (Romanowski) Masternak.
He served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea, worked 47 years at Union Steel and was a farmer his whole life. On September 25, 1954, he was united in marriage to Doris I. Beilfuss and she survives. Andy was a family man and enjoyed his close family. He liked to attend the Red Barn Auction on Friday nights, mow his lawn and enjoyed Polka music and Polish food.
In addition to Andy’s wife, Doris, he is also survived by daughter, Teresa Masternak (George Deyoe), son, Steven Masternak (Bonnie Talley); grandchildren: Erin Hurley, Lindsay (Jacob) Gonzalez, Braxton Masternak; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Hurley, Levi Gonzalez; sister, Jean Lucek, brother, Edward (Gertrude) Masternak.
Andy is preceded in death by his parents, son Randy Masternak, brothers: John, Joseph, Michael and sister, Lois.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 11, 2018 from 4-7 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. Funeral Services to celebrate Andy’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Mother Darlene Kuhn officiating.
Burial will follow with full military honors at Riverside Cemetery in Albion.
