Angela Barbuto-Dombrowski, age 67 of Jackson, MI formerly of Albion, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30th 2018. In her final weeks, Angie was comforted and well cared for by the wonderful staff of Henry Ford Allegiance Specialty Hospital and numerous family members and friends who were by her side.
Angie was born June 11, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Frank and Frances Barbuto. After her Mother's unexpected death at a very young age, she and her three brothers were brought to the VFW home in Eaton Rapids, MI to be cared for from October, 1960 until July, 1966.
Angie known to many as "Miss Angie" worked as a caregiver at Johnson's Child Care & Development Center while her kids were young. She then went to work for Albion College, retiring in August of 2016 after a long, successful career of 36 years. During her years at Albion College, Angie made numerous friendships that became more like family to her. For several years Angie also worked alongside her husband, Eddie in their D.J. business, “Eddie Rockets Entertainment”, throughout the Jackson area.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father and her beloved brother, Vincent Barbuto. Family was Angie’s pride and joy. She was a committed wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her husband, the love of her life, Edward Dombrowski, whom she was united in marriage on November, 21, 1993. They were both looking forward to celebrating their 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary this year.
Also surviving are her 3 children, a son Ronald Face of Marshall and daughters Dawn (Jeremy) Chartrand of Charlotte and Tonya (James) Hancock of Albion, 10 grandchildren who she adored, 2 brothers Victor (Maureen) Barbuto, Anthony Barbuto and her sister in law, Susan Dombrowski.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 3:30 pm at J. Kevin Tidd funeral home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion with Ken Snyder officiating. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.

So many memories of Angie...from the time we spent at Portage Lake, going dancing, and everything in between. We lost touch for a while, but reconnected about 8 years ago. I will forever miss you! You were a strong, independent, and wonderful woman and we are all blessed to have had you in our lives.

I was one of those Johnson Childcare kids who adored and loved Miss Angie. She gave the best hugs just when you needed it. And she snuck the best cookies out of the kitchen as a treat. My love and hugs to the family and a wish to ease your pain. Ron, Dawn and Tonya, Revel in the memories and the love that your mom had for you and your families and the memories will carry you through this tough time.
