Arvil Haywood

Arvil “Jack” Haywood, age 86 of Albion passed away Sunday July 16, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Residence in Jackson, Michigan. He was born December 27, 1930 to Kelly and Gladis (Howard) Haywood in Blue River, Kentucky. On July 16, 1959 he married Sue Shepherd in Springport, Michigan who survives.

Jack was a truck driver for Springport Steel for 30 years. He also owned a bicycle shop in Albion.

He enjoyed construction on home repairs, his family and friends.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Haywood; sons, Ronald Haywood of Lansing,

Brice (Wendy) Haywood of Smyrna, DE, David (Zelma) Haywood of Albion; daughter, Jackie DeLong of Finley, OH; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Irene Fitzpatrick, Christine Hanks and Alta Riddle all of Albion. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Avelee Mullins and Mrytle Fraizier and a son, Steven Haywood (1998).

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday July 19, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00PM at

J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Wednesday July 19th at 2:00PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ellis Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens.
