She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence (Larry) James Burgan; as well as her children, David (Mary d.) Burgan, Debora (Ray) Snell, Denise (Thomas Miciek) Burgan and Deanne (Steven) Vogel; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Doris (Arthur d.) Farley and James (Marilyn) Radtke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Frances Radtke, and her sister Frances ‘Lee’ (Robert) Grundemann.
Barbara, a lifelong Lutheran, was confirmed and married in 1962 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albion, MI. In 1971, Larry and Barb purchased their 42 acre farm house in rural Leslie, MI where they raised their four children. She was a 1959 graduate of Albion Senior High School. Her favorite things were spending time with her family, being involved with her Lutheran church, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and most often could be found outdoors gardening.
Barbara retired from GreenStone Farm Credit Services. She was best known for her infectious laugh, warm hugs and loving spirit. She was loved by all that knew her.

A private family service will be held at her home. A memorial service is planned for a later date for family and friends at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jackson, MI.
