Carl E. Childers

in Jackson, Michigan. He was born September 7, 1940 in Harlan County, Kentucky to William and

Nora (Carter) Childers Napier. Carl married Beverly Wing Pace on August 1, 1999 and she

preceded him in death on January 18,, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Lesia May (David) Paul; daughter-in-law, Brandi Childers;

step-daughters, Rose Collins, Phyllis (Mike) Shay and, stepson, Joseph (Gwyn) Barone;

grandchildren, Christopher (Kristin) Stevens, Kaylee Hughs and Dakota Childers; great-

granddaughters, Nova and Katlyn Stevens; several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren;

brothers, Bill (Joanna) Childers and Denver (Sheryl) Napier; sister, Bonnie (Estil) Clarkson;

several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and previous wife, Sharon Prewitt; son, Joel Childers;

step-sons, Rick Barone and Dominic Barone; sisters and brother-in-laws, Inez (Sila L.) Whitehead,

Mardella (Terry) Huff; sister-in-law, Vivian (Robert) Graylee and brother-in-law, Douglas Wing

and grandson, Cody Stevens.

Mr. Childers worked at McGraw Edison in Albion and different trades throughout his life time.

He enjoyed dry walling and carpentry. He loved going to church, listening to God’s word and

gospel music, and he loved hearing Jimmy Swaggart. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
