Carolyn J. Peckham age 89 of Albion passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Arbor Manor in Spring Arbor. She was born April 23, 1931 in Albion, MI the daughter of Harvey and Ida (Beilfuss) Van Meter. She married Robert Peckham on April 29, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2012. Carolyn was employed with Consumer’s Power in the clerical department for many years. Carolyn was a very devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed time spent with her family, especially attending sporting events for her grandchildren. She was proud to have served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Horizon Club Leader and she was an avid bowler. In addition to her husband of 61 years, Robert, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers: Carlton, Vernon and Donald Van Meter. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Michael (Sheila) Peckham of Albion, grandson, Zachary (Samantha Vloedman) Peckham of Tampa, FL, granddaughter, Ciara Peckham of Albion and great-grandson who was a special blessing to her, Jayceon Funderburg. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Allen Henson officiating. Mike and family. So sorry to hear Carolyn has passed away. She was a caring person and devoted to you and the family. Your folks were always kind to me. I have wonderful memories of her visiting my mom and aunt and loved to hear them reminisce about their childhood. Prayers to you all.
