Charles Eugene Johnson

Charles E. Johnson “Chuck” age 74 of Hamilton, IN formerly of Albion, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola, Indiana under the loving care of his family. He was born January 20, 1941 in Albion, Michigan the son of John and Mildred “Honey” (Teller) Johnson. Chuck served our country in the Marine Corps. He married Dorothy “Dot” Nutt on January 14, 1966 and she preceded him in death after 31 years of marriage on June 19, 1997. Chuck was also preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Amanda Ann Fetters.

Chuck and his late wife, Dot were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albion and the Duck Lake Country Club. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #1798 in Albion. He retired from Morton Thiokol in 1998 shortly after his wife’s passing. Chuck enjoyed golf, bowling and doing models.

He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons, Kyle (Jody) Johnson, Brett Johnson and Dale Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Kailyn (Mike) Culliver, Alexa Johnson, Magi (Nathan) Lay, Chad (Jessica) Thompson; 6 great grandchildren, Kadyn , Konnar, Julius, Mera, Berkeley, Henley and 1 sister, Barbara (Richard) Underwood.

Chuck’s family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI with Pastor Dennis W. Matyas officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Albion Elks Crippled Children Fund.
