You raised me.
You took me to basketball games, volleyball games, and track meets.
You made all Birthdays and Christmas time something special.
You taught me how to pick myself up and dust myself off.
You taught me who to be, and who not to be.
You made sure I had a roof over my head, and food in my belly.
You showed up to every event, talked to the school when I was in trouble or when they were in trouble.
You taught me business and how to run a successful one. You instilled a hard work ethic and made sure things were done right the first time.
When everyone else left me you were there. Not because you had to be..but because you wanted to be. You never once gave up on me.
You pushed me to strive for better in all aspects of life. Your love was a hardened love but I knew you loved me..in your own way.
We understood each other. In ways most didn't. We worked side by side all summer long.
I know now that all the tough love, all the fights, and all the rifts were from a place of love. I hope you find peace. I hope you find happiness. 2 things I know you haven't felt in a very long time. I forgive you for all your shortcomings and I hope you know that.
I will always and forever remember the man in the picture below. Full of life, full of love. It was your time and I think we all knew that. Give everyone bug hugs for me.

Love you, Clyde Robert ❤
