D. Bruce Matson

Creek, Michigan. He was born September 11, 1952 to Kenneth and Ruby Matson in Albion, Michigan.

On September 18,1971in Albion he married Tania Prigun who survives.

Bruce was a lifelong resident of Albion. He worked as a Public Safety Officer for Albion for 25

years before he retired in 2000, then he worked in Campus Safety for Albion College for several

years, in 2001 he went to work for the Federal Center where he had worked for the past 10 years.

He was a Past Exalted Ruler for Albion Elk’s Lodge #1798, Treasurer for Albion Moose Lodge #406,

member of Eagles-Aerie #1265, he enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling.

Bruce is survived by:

Wife- Tania Matson of Albion

Daughter- Michelle Matson of Kalamazoo

Son- Brent Matson of Henderson, NV

(5) Grandchildren- Briana, Abby, Tatiana, Brock and Lexi

Sister- Carol (Keith) Woods of Indianapolis, IN

Brother-Gary Matson of Albion

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Edna “Marie” Worden and Bonnie Nugent, his

In-laws Osyp and Wera Prigun.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 2:00-4:00P.M. and

6:00-9:00P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion with a

Lodge of Sorrow at 7:00 P.M. and Rosary at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Catholic Church,

1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion with Father Joe Gray officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery,

Albion.
