Dolfis Edward Mitchell, age 65 of Flint, formerly of Albion passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home. He was born April 10, 1952 in Albion the son of Edward James and Madie (Jones) Mitchell. His parents precede him in death along with a sister, Maggie Lee Hardaway and brother, Robert Mitchell.
Dolfis enjoyed fishing, watching his Detroit Lions play and was known to be a Car Aficionado for his
love of cars.
He leaves to cherish his memory son, Antoniese “Tony” (Timmara) Gant, Sr. of Lansing, sister, Ruby Mitchell of Flint, Clarence (Roslyn) Robinson of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren: Antoniese Gant, Jr., Demetrius Gant; step-grandson, Tyler Thomas, great-grandchildren: Zayden Mitchell-Gant, Destiny Mitchell, De’ara Mitchell, special niece, Rae’quanda Bailey, great-niece, RaeOnna Bailey, nephews: Basil Robinson and Roberts Moore and many other extended family and friends.
A Home Going service to celebrate Dolfis’ life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 with family hour at 11 AM until the time of service at 12 NOON officiated by Pastor Larry Gamble at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion.
Cremation will follow with interment at Albion Memory Gardens.
