Born 10/21/1935 to 02/11/2019.
Donulus age 83 of Albion, went home to be with his Lord and Creator on February 11, 2019.
He went peacefully at home under the care of his family.
Don was born in Petoskey MI to Foster and Christine (Baker) Otto on October 21, 1935.
He is survived by his children; sons David(Dianne) Otto and Benjamin Otto, daughters Wanda(Ed) Ellis, Donette (Brad) Maney, Annette (Gary) Ott and Nancy (Gib) Haas; many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, foster children/grandchildren too numerous to mention, and sisters, Christine and Veronica. He was proceeded in death by his wife Judy, parents and seven brothers and sisters.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, which usually after a short time you became part of his family. He loved meeting new people so he could talk and learn about them. His love for others showed in his caring and compassion he had for them. He always had a smile to share with others around him.
He has shared his loved for the outdoors and Indian heritage with schools/organizations, Girl/Boy Scout troops over the years. He was a 4-H Challenge Leader and enjoyed the many outings they went on, including rock climbing, survival trips and caving trips. He especially loved going to Colorado on a survival trip with the Challenge group.
He served his country in the U.S Army. He worked at Albion College and Albion Industries in the Shipping Department until he retired.
Special thanks to The Great Lakes Caring Hospice especially Heidi, Kyle and Jan who shared special times with him.
Upon his request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in the spring.
