

Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born on April 28, 1934 in
Vicksburg, Mississippi to Thomas and Cleo (Ferguson) Paulding. In 1957 she
married Fred Wright in Albion, Michigan.
She worked for Corning Glass in Albion until it closed and then went
to work for McGraw-Edison. She retired from Delta Tau Delta Fraternity
at Albion College as a cook.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church in Albion where she worked with children, played the piano and was a member
of the Senior Choir. She was also a former member of the Goodwill Singers.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing Bid Whist. She enjoyed reading, watching all sports, especially MSU.
One of her gifts was writing poetry and on many occasions she was invited to do special readings at her church and other speaking engagements.
She is survived by:

Grandson- Bobby Johnson also of Lansing
Sister- Irene (John) Maxey of Vicksburg, MS
Many nieces, nephews, other family and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Thelma Russell.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday, May 9, 2014,
at Bethel Baptist Church, 523 Washington Street, Albion, Michigan 49224,
with Pastor F.H. Alexander Jr., officiating. Gathering of Family & Friends
will be from 11:30 until 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday at the church.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
