Dwight served over 20 years of exceptionally meritorious service from 12 October 1982 to 1 May 2005 while serving in numerous positions as a Supply Noncommissioned Officer in the U.S. Army. He distinguished himself in combat during Operation DESERT STORM and several deployments to Kuwait, Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo. He received several high military accommodations including a Bronze Star. While serving in the U.S. Army he completed a degree from Northwestern University.
After retiring from the Army, he was hired as a Program Analyst for the Defense Logistics Agency at The Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. Dwight continued to serve with exceptional performance and professionalism.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, son- Marcus; daughters- T’Auna, Kenya Crawford and Jasmine Kemp; grandchildren- Kori, Kali, and Deijha; brother- Wesley (Wanda) Crawford; sister- Hope Weathers; neice – Amber Crawford Narvaez; nephew – Amir Crawford and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:00PM at the Bread of Life Ministries,
916 N. Superior Street, Albion, Michigan 49224. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery
with Military Honors.
