Earlie Leonard

Age 83 transitioned into rest Tuesday September 22, 2015 under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Hospice. He was born May 30, 1932 in Alexander City, Alabama the son of Marshal and Annie (Kelly) Leonard and they precede him in death. Earlie was also preceded in death by sisters, Julia Mae Jennings and Elizabeth Flenory.

Earlie worked for Brooks Foundry for 26 years until his retirement. He loved walking, especially around town and enjoyed visiting with his friends. Before he became ill, Earlie enjoyed helping others as much as he could. He also loved playing the Lottery.

Earlie leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Valerie Johnson; 2 grandchildren: Temika Leonard and Thaddeus Leonard Sr.; 6 great grandchildren: Lashe’ Iron, Moshe’ Iron, Toshe’ Iron, Taylor Iron, Thaddeus Leonard, Jr., and Teliahya Leonard; 2 sisters, Inell Leonard and Christine Andrews, nephew, Marvin Leonard and many other nieces and nephews.

Earlie’s family will celebrate his life on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 with Family Hour beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM (NOON) at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI with Pastor Alfronzo L. Spence Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, MI.
