Eleanor Mae Rockey

The most important thing in Eleanor’s life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her faith and her church, St. John Parish, were also important to her. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing card games.

She is survived by her children, Barb (Titus) Newsome of Albion, MI, Deb (Dale) Eglon of Springport, MI, Robert (Dawn) Rockey of Springport, MI, and Jenifer (Alan) Parr of Eaton Rapids, MI; siblings, John (Amanda) Labun of Albion, MI, Mike (Cathy) Labun of Kearney, NE, and Jeff (Milinda) Labun of Parma, MI; grandchildren, Dustin, Brad, Cody, Heather, Daniel, Kevin, Kyle, Jadyn, Cortney, Kyle, Josh, Xander, and Connor; as well as, twenty great-grandchildren.

On May 20, 1961, Eleanor was united in marriage to Robert E. Rockey, Sr. and he precedes her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Labun and sister, Lois (Dave) Hurley.

Services will be held St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Ave. Albion, MI on Monday, January 6, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00AM. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Robert, at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:00PM.
