She was born July 16, 1931 to Kenneth and Blanch (Juckett) Post in Albion, Michigan.
She married the love of her life, John Paul Soltis on June 22, 1949. To the union three children were born.
Eleanor loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly cared for people and was very generous to many. Eleanor was a mother, a grandmother to many in the community. She worked for many years at Albion Community Hospital, and then for Dr. Sapala at his facility in Hudson, Michigan. She also had her own cleaning business, servicing many doctors and dentists in the Albion area.
She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Jon Soltis of Albion; daughters, Elaine Sims of Marshall and Vicki Soltis of Albion who cared for both her parents insuring they were able to stay at home , granting them their last wishes. Special goddaughter that Eleanor raised, Melissa Walker of Marshall; grandchildren, Sean Sims (Jessica), Julie Shedd (Rob), Matthew Sims all of Marshall, Travis Sims of Connecticut, Amanda Quisenberry (Jamie) and Jennifer Soltis both of Arizona.
Very special great-granddaughters, Jerrica Sims of Albion and Amaya Walker of Ann Arbor; great grandchildren, Alyssa McGillis, Jaden Shedd, Kylie Shedd, Brooklyn Sims, Stryder Shedd all of Marshall and Kaylee Quisenberry of Arizona
Eleanor had a very special connection with Melissa, Jessica and Amaya who spent many hours and nights staying with their grandparents. Eleanor was more than a grandma; she was a mother to Melissa, Jerrica and Amaya. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all.
According to her wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
