March 20, 1944 – August 23, 2018
Ernestine McFall was the second of nine children born to the union of the late Daniel Boggan and Rofie Gene (Crum). She entered this life on March 20, 1944, in Albion, Michigan and after a courageous battle against cancer; she reached out for God’s unfailing hand on Thursday, August 23, 2018. As she lived, she made her transition surrounded by those she loved the most. She accepted the Lord at an early age at Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, Alabama. Ernestine was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and an active member of the culinary until 2013.
She was united in holy matrimony to Joseph L. McFall on April 7, 1962. In 2006, she retired after over 30 years at Eaton Corporation as a machine operator. Ernestine enjoyed life and loved to cook for family and friends. She was an avid bingo player, a scrabble enthusiast, she loved the slots, a good game of bid wiz and a lottery fanatic. She loved to take road trips to visit family from the south to the west. A second mom to all. She always opened her home to her loved ones.
Celebrating the life of Ernestine and rejoicing that she has found peace that only God can give her, she is survived by her husband, Joseph McFall, son, Steven McFall of Albion, MI; brothers, Daniel (Jackie) Boggan, Jr. of Oakland, CA, Isaiah (Gwen) Bogan of Albion, MI, Willie (Carmen) Bogan of Oakland, CA, Nathaniel (Charmaine) Bogan of Albion, MI, Bennie N. Boggan of Seattle, WA, Douglas (Cyndie) Boggan of Columbus, OH, and Frederick (Cathy) Boggan of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Montez Motley, Devin Berrington, Gabrielle Berrington, Andrea Williams, and Paige Williams II; great-grandchild Dallas Berrington, special nieces, Cynthia Williams and Faye Holman. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. McFall was preceded in death by her parents and sister Emma.
Her husband Joseph was her best friend and along with her son Steven were excellent caregivers and could always be counted on to give support when needed, especially during these past months as her illness progressed.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday August 30, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Friday August 31 at 12:00PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1010 Chauncey Street, Albion with Family Hour starting at 11:00AM with Rev. Lawrence McFall officiating.

To the McFall family, Cynthia and the Boggan’s family. Steen will be greatly missed by all of us at the Bid Whist game. She loved playing cards and I enjoyed playing with or against her. I met her many years ago and found her to be kind, friendly and an excellent cook. My prayers safe with the family at this time asking God to comfort and strengthen you. May God bless all of you.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. McFall (Stene). I worked with Stene for a brief time, she was a wonderful person with an amazing smile. May God continue to bless and keep you all in His care during this difficult time, is my prayer.
