Gail Ann Bonsor, age 68 of Onondaga, MI passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital under the loving care of her family. She was born in Detroit on June 6, 1953 the daughter of Frank and Adeline (Brennan) Karshefski and they preceded her in death along with her grandparents, Francis and Adeline Brennan.
Gail was united in marriage to Darrell Bonsor and he survives. Gail and Darrell spent a many years of their lives as over-the-road truck drivers together traveling the country. She loved to see the sunsets, oceans and God’s beautiful landscapes along their many trips. Gail was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She also loved sewing, crafts, gardening, tending to her flowers and decorating for all the holidays; Christmas was her favorite. While her girls were growing up, Gail participated in 4-H with them, even serving as a 4-H leader for some time. She loved animals especially horses, training race horses, dogs and the geese they raised to show. Gail was always very particular about stuff and showed pride in the things she devoted her time to.
In addition to her loving husband, Darrell, Gail also leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters, Cheryl (Jim) Binschus and Laura Huey, 4 grandchildren, Tyler (Miranda), Codie (Danny), Alexas, Jacob II, 4 great grandchildren, Winston, Ryleigh, Leah, Lyndi, brother, Mark Karchefski and numerous nieces, extended family and friends.
Gail’s family will receive friends for viewing on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 1PM until the time of her service at 2:30PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI with Pastor Al Henson officiating. Cremation will follow the services and guests are invited to the American Legion Hall in Leslie to share a meal after 4 PM, 422 Woodworth St, Leslie, MI 49251.
