George William Shaw

George served our country in the US Army Air Forces during WWII and worked for the City of Albion as a mechanic and truck driver. George enjoyed rebuilding old Farmall Tractors and restoring old pick-ups.

George is preceded in death by his second wife, Violet Shaw, his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his children: Gary (Janice) Shaw and Larry (Sally) Shaw; 3 grandchildren: Gary (Cecelia) Shaw, Stephen (Mary) Shaw, Phillip Shaw; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jessica, Gabrielle and Gilbert Shaw; 3 sisters: Mary (Ed) Gregory, Mazie (Robert) Potter, Marcella Balthaser; his constant companion and caregiver, Thelma Henson and his first wife, Audrey Crapsey.

George’s family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion beginning with visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM with James Carey officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Albion.
