He was the oldest of four children, Robert, Mark, and Elizabeth Anne, who have all past before him. He was a 1958 graduate from High School in Douglas, Kansas. He then attended Pratt Junior College and Wichita State University before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1960. He also studied at the University of Maryland and UNLV while serving in the military. He had a very successful 13 year career in the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran, where, based on his numerous commendations, he had a instrumental part of the United States dominating the air during the Vietnam War.
Harry and his children moved to Albion in 1973, where he has spent his last 46 years living and was a die hard Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He worked at Brooks Foundry as their Electrical Superintendent for 16 years until the plant closed in 1989.
He is survived by three children, Connie Cvitkovic in Albion, Robert Cousins in Guanajuato Mexico, and Jana Cousins in Lima Ohio. He also has three step children, Rhonda, Barry, and Corey, as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00AM with Rev. Steve Mezaros officiating.
