Helen Lucille Weaver, age 82 of Albion passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice. She was born May 15, 1938 in Albion. She married Durwood Weaver and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Christopher Weaver, granddaughter Ashley Weaver, Merissa Pinson and all but two of her siblings.
Helen was a lifelong resident of Albion, graduating from Albion High School. She was a very athletic woman who loved sports, especially the Detroit Lions. She also loved gardening, reading science fiction and mystery novels and was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Tamera Bates (Norm Rod) of Jackson, Teresa Dalton of Angola, Indiana, son Gregory Weaver (Marlene Newland) of Albion, 8 grandchildren, several great-grandkids and great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Gail (Carol) Haines, Lloyd (Connie) Haines.
Helen will be laid to rest privately in Albion Memory Gardens on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Her family is being served by J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, Albion. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
