James Malachi Benjamin

James M. Benjamin, age 88 of Albion passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan. He was born July 18, 1925 to Fred and Inez (Holtz) Benjamin in Albion.
James lived most of his life in Albion and he was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. James was a truck driver for Harvard Industries for 40+ years. He was well known as owner/operator of the Albion Cab for many years. He was a hard worker who enjoyed buying and repairing cars. James was known as a loving and giving man who always helped others.
James is survived by: Sons- Fred Benjamin Carl (Tanze) Tabb Daughters- Pauline (Clarence) Grant Fairstene Haggard Patricia Johnson Sister- Geraldine Coleman Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Delila Arnold and brother-in-law Herman Coleman.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church, 523 Washington Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor Fred Alexander officiating.
