James David Brown, age 74 of Albion passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Coldwater under the loving care of his family. He was born September 6, 1944 in Albion the son of James and Flora (Shimke) Brown and they precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by brother, Randy Stanham and sister, Judith Norment.
James married Chyrel Sparks and she survives. Also surviving are children: April (John) Dibble, Angie Brown and Jimmy Brown, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
James served our country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was employed with Michigan Bell for 20 Years and also drove truck for Schneider Trucking for 17 years. He was an avid bowler and previous owner of Homer Bowling Alley for several years. He also enjoyed fishing, hanging out with the guys and thoroughly enjoyed his grandkids.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 6-8 PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion. A Private interment with Military Honors will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
