OBITUARY

Joe Roger Shaw

Joe Roger Shaw age 76 of Hillsdale passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home under the loving care of his family and Elara Caring Hospice. Joe was born October 16, 1943 in Hillsdale, MI the son of Arlo and Fannie (Ellis) Shaw. He married Connie Hunt on November 15, 1996 in Homer and she preceded him in death on April 24, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mae Mull, Lulu Belle Englehart and brothers, Everett Shaw and Lee Shaw. Joe was a resident of the Hillsdale County area all of his life and was a member of the Liberty Bible Baptist Church in Pittsford, MI. He worked at Addison Products, Hillsdale Foundry and Norm’s Goodyear where he retired from. Joe enjoyed fishing, camping, working on his own vehicles, tinkering around on things and fixing the grandkid’s bikes and things. He had an uncanny ability to fix anything he set his mind to. He also loved meeting the guys for coffee, going out to eat with special friends, but most all, he loved time spent with his family. Survivors include his daughters, Paula (Robert) Baxter of Hillsdale and Kristy (Randy) Winchell of Hillsdale, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Stan Shaw and Merritt Shaw. Joe’s family will celebrate his life on Monday, May 18, 2020 beginning with visitation at 10AM until the time of service at 1PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion with Pastor Sam Wickard officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bentley’s Corners Cemetery. There are so many but a few stands out, my sink was mess up joe and connie came over to fixed it for me, joe said well jo I have to put a snake down it to fixed it, i say no joe I dont want a snake in my sink and he started to laugh so hard joe no jo not a real snake we all laugh about that one . Joe and dennis would watch for deer went we drove to church in marshall they wasn't worry about the road they would deer hunt or going fishing and not watch the road we laugh about that a lot the Sundays he went to church with us, the best ones is ones we had together with connie was with us joe loved taking her fishing she loved fishing as much as he did, "DEAR LORD YOU HAVE HIM NOW,NO MORE PAIN,WE LOVE YOU JOE R.I.P.
