OBITUARY

Joshua Christopher Konkle

April 28, 1975March 24, 2020

Joshua Christopher Konkle age 44 of Albion passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 28, 1975 in Jackson, MI, the son of Lin and Sharon (Kidder) Konkle. He was a 1993 graduate of Litchfield High School and was employed with Clariant Corporation in Albion for roughly 18 years.

Joshua is survived by daughter Alysa Gilman, age 21, former spouse Angie Konkle and their children Dylan Konkle, age 20, daughter Jaylin Konkle, age 13. He also leaves both parents, father, Lin (Karla) Konkle, Mother, Sharon (Tim) Kidder, two brothers, Nathan Konkle and Levi (Sarah) Konkle and three step-sisters, Brook Cuatt, Michelle Hall and Kari Kidder McQuown. Josh is also survived by Aunts, Laura Konkle, Kathi Konkle, Kimmy Konkle and several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are sister, Jesemy Konkle in 2002 and grandparents Ted and Joanne Konkle in 2018, Grandfather William Collier in 2015 and Norma Collier in 1994.

Joshua had a love for Classic Hot Rods and especially loved his 1990 Ford Mustang Convertible. He also enjoyed fishing, although he hated the taste of them. Josh enjoyed spending his summers at their family cottage at Duck Lake. He was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and UofM football fan. He was a very talented handyman who loved working on cars and could fix almost anything. But his greatest love was his children, family and friends and spending time with them.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place. However due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and those details will be shared.

Please keep Josh's family in your prayers during this very difficult time.

Dear Josh
What an honor it’s been having you as a part of my life , you’ve shown me a lot of examples & ways to go about upcoming life decisions I’ll have to make in the future! You’ve brought an amazing young girl on this earth & I appreciate her so much, I can see so much of you inside her. Im extremely thankful for those last words I got from you & surprised you were able to see I wasn’t having a good day , until next time & when times get rough I’ll always “keep my head up & get some rest”

May you rest on peace, Josh. Your smile and kind heart will be missed. I know Jesemy is thrilled to have her big brother with her again.
And... thank you for letting me somehow talk you into letting me take the Mustang for a spin even though I didn't know how to drive a stick way back in the day! Great memory & thanks for not killing me that night! I did feel pretty cool in it. :)
Sending my prayers to all of the family.

I worked with Josh many years at Clariant. A great guy who was liked by everyone. I remember going to a U of M hockey game with him and his son Dylan where we had a great time. Love and Condolences to the family.
