Edward J. Brown, “Jr. Brown”, age 89 of Albion passed away September 12, 2019 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born July 27, 1930 to Ed and Virgie Mae (Duncan) Brown in Greenup, Kentucky.
Jr. was the store owner of Brown’s New & Used Furniture in Albion until the early 90’s. He loved to buy and sell things and collect antiques. He enjoyed finding his treasures by going to various sales, auctions and flea markets, even starting and running his own flea market in Albion at one time. He was also known to be a lady’s man; loving to flirt and give them compliments.
Jr. is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan; daughters, Bonnie Elkins of Homer, Linda Brown of Albion, Vivian Moroski of Battle Creek, Anna Daughterly; sons, David Brown of Indiana, Perry Brown of Grand Rapids, Kenneth Bailey, Noah Brown; step-children, Betty Owens of Albion, David Springer of Eckford, Bill Davis of Georgia and Kathy Umbarger, 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; a son Terry Brown; sisters, Annie Harr, Mammie Bailey,
Minnie Glispie; brothers, Cecil Brown, Howard Brown, Willard Brown, Morton Brown, Russell Brown, Ellis Brown, Clifford Brown, step-daughter, Sandra Davis and previous companion, Clystia Brown.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 16, 2019 from 10AM until the time of service at 11 AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor David Trammell officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
