Kathlene Eleanor Gray

Kathy married the love of her life, Michael Gray, on August 21, 1971. She loved all animals, bird watching, gardening, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kindhearted and compassionate woman who had a heart of gold. If you knew her you loved her. She was everyone's cheerleader. She loved Facebook and the interactions with all her old and new friends and being able to easily keep in touch with everyone. She was a stay-at-home Mom for several years, cleaned houses, was an Aerobics instructor at Total Fitness in Albion, worked at Merritt's General Store, was a Certified Medical Coder, and ended her career as a para-professional at Springport Middle School. She courageously fought cancer for the past 11 years and enjoyed helping others that were diagnosed with cancer or other diseases. She was the biggest encourager to those going through hard times.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gray; children, Jim (Kelly Losey) Gray, Rob (Breona) Gray, and Kelly (Loren) Betz; four grandchildren, Zachery (Nevaeh Burns) Betz, Luke Betz, Emma Gray, Ian Gray.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Darlene Mayo; siblings, Kenneth Mayo Jr., Marilyn Schneider, and Kay Mayo.

As Kathy wished, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and Jackson Humane Society.
