Katie L Bartley

Katie L Bartley age 81 of Albion passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of her family and Oaklawn Hospice. She was born May 7, 1939 in Esco, Kentucky the daughter of Andy and Jettie (Damron) Bartley.

On March 7, 1959, Katie was united in marriage to Sterling Bartley in Long Fork, KY and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2015.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, Bertha and Cecil Bartley, sister and brother-in-law, Glenna (Malvery) Tackett, brother and sister-in-law, Tex (Brenda) Bartley, brothers-in-law, Merlin Bartley and Renny Strohmenger and niece, Diana Higdon.

Survivors include her sisters, Hazel Bartley and Dotty Strohmenger, brother-in-law, Vernon (Ollie Jean) Bartley, nieces and nephews: Starr (Mike) Shreeves, Susan (Rick) Gilbert, Kim Cook, Randy (Amanda) Bartley, Tony (Becky) Bartley, Sheri (Shane) Stone, Drew (Jacque) Strohmenger and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and extended family.

Katie’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 31st from 6-8PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Earl Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Albion Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Bible Church.

The family would like to especially acknowledge niece, Susan Gilbert for the extra care given to Katie during the last few months.

I am so sorry to read about Katie's passing. She was a wonderful cheerful and bright lady who never seemed to have a bad day. Knowing her and her sister for so many years, I am truly blessed to have known them and shared their confidence. I will miss her and remember her family in my prayers.
