It has taken me four years to write about my younger brother, not because I was too busy or it skipped my mind. To write in this memory book just verified the fact that my brother is actually ‘missing.’ 

Larry, was the youngest sibling of our family and the most energetic. He loved sports, he was always watching it, playing it, or coaching it. 
He tried sharing sports statistics, highlights of games or the newest players on teams with me..but he was talking to a non-sports person so he would drift off at family events to find another sports aficionado.  My brother was a kind, loving, fun, loyal, hard working man. He devotedly loved his family and he had faith in God.  I have accepted the fact that he is ‘missing’ but not forever - our faith says - not forever.

My brother Larry had a great sense of humor, I live in Texas and whenever he would call me we would always laugh about his thoughts regarding the heat here.  Larry has a wonderful loving wife, Brenda, she was his best friend, they married very young and grew up together. He has 3 Amazing children, Crystal, Lisa and Matthew who were the light of his Life. He was also blessed to have 3 awesome grandchildren. I shared my brothers love of the Detroit Tigers and we had many talks of their wins and failures. 
Larry had lots of talents and he shared them with lots of people. I will miss his humor and the way he would share his pride and love for his family with me. He never ended our conversations without telling me that he loved me and missed me, I know that he is ok because he told  me he was before he died. I will see you again my brother, tell Dad, Mom and Roberta (our sister)hello for me. You will always be loved and remembered. 

Larry worked and played hard all of his life. He was a great father and friend to his children and made sure they had life experiences growing up. Brenda was the love of his life, and faithful companion. A  lover of most sports, 🏀 🏈⚾️🥎  especially. He definitely had many “extra” kids,  he made a difference in their lives. And they respected and loved him like a dad. He was a great man in many ways. We have lost a brother and a friend.  He’ll be missed for sure. Brenda and family we’re here for you.

I have been part of this family sense I was  13 years old. Larry was just a kid. He and William grew up like twins, fussing as boys will do. I use to watch their brother Paul (my husband) wrestling with both of them at the same time and besting them both. Eventually, it was one at a time, then the day came when it was, them besting him. Lol, that’s when the wrestling stopped. Time has flown and what has happened  to others, visited us and death has taken him. But it can’t take our love, or memories. Those are our treasures, ours alone. 

Larry was our neighbor for 8 years. Always was up for a chat at the fence and a great neighbor and friend. Larry will be greatly missed and I pray for Brenda and the family's comfort during this tough time.

Rest in peace Larry. 

What a shock to both of us  and our hearts go out to Brenda and Larry's family. Have really enjoyed Larry as a neighbor and we became friends during his time here on Fitch Street.  I remember Larry from years past with his involvement in softball activities. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

I will remember Larry for his spunk and his smile that lit up his entire face. It was a pleasure to know him for the short time that I did. May his family find peace in the memories they carry with them every day. 

So sorry to hear of Coach Woods passing.  He was a great softball coach.  Praying for all of his family.

My deepest condolences to the family of Larry.  He and I were classmates.  Very quiet young man, but he did love his softball.  Larry is at peace and pain free.  May God wrap his loving arms around you and your family and give you much comfort and hold on to the many memories.  RIP Larry

Brenda and Woods family, 

Our hearts are saddened by the news of the sudden loss of Larry. We know that at a time like this, their are no adequate words that can ever be spoken to ease the pain of such a loss.  But know that we are in continued prayer and lift you all up in love before a God of  Love and Mercy.  It is He who can bring comfort and sooth the soul, in these trying times. Hold on to him, he will be your comfort and your guide in the weeks and months to come. Although it is difficult to understand why God chose this path for our loved one, we may never understand. I do know that He is there for you and will bring Comfort and Peace  to your soul. Lean on Him, He will carry you through.  Our Love and Prayers are with you as well.  

Coach Woods will always have a special place in my heart. He was a great coach to all of us Lady Wildcats and treated us like we were his daughters too. Thanks Crystal for sharing your dad with so many of us! #LadyCats #LadyBallers #AHS RIP Coach🏀🙏

He was such a nice man and we are so sorry to hear of his passing.  Brenda and Larry made such a great couple.  Bernie and I enjoyed talking to him. He is definitely up with the angels in Heaven now. We are sure that he is resting in peace.
