Mary Ellen Hadden

Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Magnum Health & Rehab of Albion. She was

Born September 21, 1919 to Verne O. and Anna (Velie) Leightner in Springport, Michigan.

On June 17, 1946 she married Kenneth R. Hadden in Evanston, IL which ended in divorce.

Mary came to Albion in 1977 from Phoenix & Flagstaff Arizona where she lived

for 30 years. Most of her life was spent working as a waitress in restaurants. She

was a lifetime member of Capitol City Rebekah Lodge #30 of Phoenix, AZ.

Mary is survived by:

Daughter- Dee (Wallace) Nixon of Melbourne, AR

(2) Grandchildren; (5) Great Grandchildren and (3) Great Great Grandchildren

Sister- Alice Troop of Albion

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Crystal Trine, Ella Fauz,

Virginia Smith and Josephine Holt; brothers Lynwood and Alfred Leightner.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at

Riverside Cemetery, 1301 S. Superior, Albion, Michigan 49224 with

Chaplin Dave Goldsmith officiating.
