Maxine Marie Taber

TABER, MAXINE M. Age 84 of Springport passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born in 1927 to Fred and Bernice Easton in Homer, Michigan. In 1951 she married Milton "Bud" Taber who preceded her in death in 2003.

Before she was married she worked for Federal Mogul in Coldwater for 5 years. Maxine was a homemaker most of her life, for a short time she worked as a custodian for Springport High School. She was a “Special Grandma” to many children she cared for through the years. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking (Apple & Cherry Pies and Sugar Cookies) which she has received 300+ Blue ribbons from the Jackson County Fair, and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by: Daughters - Christin (Sherry)Taber of Boston, MA; Luann (Greg Smith) Pesonen of Denver, CO; Carol Taber of Springport; Brenda (Brent) Roy of Mt. Pleasant; Linda (Paul) Kleinschmit of California; Susan Taber of California; Stephanie (Michael) Forner of Jackson; Sons- Bill (Christi) Taber of Colorado; Todd Taber (Marie Mullins) of Springport; 11 Grandchildren; six Great Grandchildren; Sisters- Dorothy Purucker of Albion; Beverly Easton of Albion; Marlene Semon of Homer; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, brother Dennis Easton and a grandson Jon Roy.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 15, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Paster Melissa Claxton officiating. Burial will be at Springport Cemetery, Springport.
