Michael Porter

Michael was born July 9, 1963, to Floyd and Beulah (Smith) Porter in Albion, MI. Michael attended Albion Public Schools. He was employed at Albion Housing Commission for over 30 years before retiring.

He was a devoted family man, well known throughout the community as a hard worker, and had a great sense of humor. Michael loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his daughter Michaela and working on repair projects.

In 2020 Michael surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, placing his trust in HIM when he took his last breath.

He leaves behind thirty-six years of memories that are now treasures of the heart, to his wife Veronica Y (Hale) Porter. Four daughters, Monica Hale, Ashley Porter, Ciera Hale, and Michaela (Tim) Williams. Nine grandchildren, his sister Patricia McCormick and brother Donald Porter, all of Albion, MI., Along with extended family and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Porter and Rosemary Richardson, and five brothers Charles, Larry, Kenny, Henry, and David Porter.
