

Michael Tollette SR, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Michael carried the strength, grit, and heart of his hometown with him throughout his life.
Michael was the siblings and a natural leader within his family. He is survived by his brothers Sigmund Mealing, David Mealing, and Marque Mealing, and his sister Marvalisa Payne. He is also survived by his beloved wife, Lourdes Tollette, and his children Michael Tollette Jr., Gabriel Tollette, and Sabrina Tollette, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Michael spent his later years as a truck driver, a profession he genuinely loved. Even in his final days, he spoke of returning to the road, a testament to his work ethic and passion for life. Driving gave him a sense of purpose, freedom, and fulfillment that he deeply cherished.
Above all else, Michael was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud papa, and a steady presence for those who knew him. He was also a loyal friend, kind, dependable, and quietly strong. His impact lives on in the many lives he touched through his generosity, humor, and unwavering care for others.
Michael was a resident of Albion, Michigan.
A Family Hour will be held on January 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home.
Following the Family Hour, a Home Going Celebration will take place at the same location, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Michael will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
