Myrtle R. Anderla, age 92 of Albion, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Best Care Plus in Marshall, Michigan where she was a resident since February 2011. She was born on September 29, 1920 to William and Mabel Berger in Niagara, Wisconsin.
In 1921 they moved to Daggett, Michigan where she grew up and went to school. On August 27, 1949 she married Raymond J. Anderla and they moved to Albion, Michigan, built a home and started a Tree Nursery together. He preceded her in death in August 1997 after 48 years of marriage. Myrtle worked at Corning Glass for a short time and then she became a homemaker. On April 10, 1999 she married Nelson F. Baumeister and they were married for 10 years until his death on November 1, 2009. Myrtle was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Albion. She was loved and will be missed.
She is survived by two sons: Andy (Nancy) Anderla of Lansing and
Terry (Dana) Andrela of Albion,
Step-son Tom (Brenda) Baumeister of Watervliet
Step-daughter-in-law Eva Baumeister
Step-daughter Ellen (Joe) Hagenbarth of Marshall, MI
Grandsons Michael (Lindsey) of Harrogate, England
Matthew (Jennifer) Anderla of Charlotte and
Mark (Annette) Anderla of Albion,
Great-grandchildren Justin, Shelby, Jack, Taylor and Michael,
A number of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Gathering for family and friends will be Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2:00-4:00P.M. and 6:00-8:00P.M. at
the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 Luther
Blvd., Albion with Pastor Dennis Matyas officiating. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens in Albion.
Assistance with Memorial Contributions to: St. Paul Lutheran Church or Oaklawn Hospice is available
at the funeral home.
